Spring Executive Retreat & Financial Aid Workshop – May 1 – 4, 2015

Since the spring event over time has evolved into a mini version of the Annual Convention it has lost some of its appeal to both schools and associates. The approach we are taking is to re-invent our Spring event. The focus of the Spring Executive Retreat is on school owners/managers/executives. Through the environment, session topics, presenters, activities and even room layouts we want to create the feeling of an executive retreat. Here is how Associates can be a part of creating that environment:

Associates that would like to attend will purchase a Mingle Pass for $300 (this include breakfast and lunch each day as well as a networking dinner and reception)

Spring Reservation Form

o   The Connection Lounge will be the place where breakfast and lunch for all attendees will be served buffet style.

o   Associates can choose to purchase a 6 ft table top for $1,000 to display your products/services and act as your ‘home base’ for the weekend – a place where attendees can find you

  • max 1 table per company, if one month prior spaces still remain, an additional table top can be purchased)
  • any items you bring must fit on the 6 ft table or fit behind the 6 ft table (no wider than 6 ft), your own pop up banner is allowed behind or on your table

o   Associates can choose to sponsor a table for 8 at $400 and/or a table for 4 at $200 – you can decorate your table and invite attendees to sit with you during meals (max 2 tables per company, if one month prior spaces still remain, additional tables can be sponsored)

o   There is no main stage in the Connection Lounge in order to encourage more networking

o   The Connection Lounge will be open on Saturday and Sunday for the retreat (during breakfast and lunch each day), it will remain open on Monday (breakfast and lunch) for the Financial Aid Workshop. For those Associates with a table top or sponsored table that wish to breakdown on Sunday afternoon they can, and for those that wish to remain open on Monday they can for no additional cost.

Associates can choose to host a resort activity for $1,000

o   An individual from your company will participate in a resort activity (such as golf, cooking class, race car experience, horseback riding, spa, etc.) with 3 – 6 attendee providing you the opportunity to connect with current clients and build relationships with prospective clients

o   Associates who select the option to host will pick the activity from the list of available activities taking place on Friday afternoon and/or Sunday afternoon. The Associate will invite and confirm participants in their hosted activity and communicate the list of those confirmed back to the AACS office. The AACS office will provide updated lists of registered attendees with full contact information to hosts leading up to the retreat.

Associates can participate in all, some or none of these activities. Each person at the event must purchase a Mingle Pass.

  • Taxis from the airport will run approximately $45 to $55.  This is probably the best mode of transportation to the property.  Super shuttle is also available, however Wild Horse Pass tends to be a last stop for their routes at times, so it could take a little longer.

  • Make sure you tell us who is working at your booth so they’ll have a badge printed with their name correctly at the event. You can also order meal badges.

Door Prizes (optional)

  • Upon check-in, you’ll receive a yellow piece of cardstock with “Door Prize Winner” on it. During Sunday’s Connection Loungel time, write the name of your winner and display it at your booth. Attendees will know to walk around to see door prize winners displayed at your booth. You can choose winners any way you wish (i.e. collecting business cards)


Session Information

  • The best way to learn how to sell to schools is to understand what issues they’re dealing with. Take advantage of sessions being offered and attend some! It’s no extra cost to you and they never conflict with Expo Hall time.

A dredge firm will not be used for this event. You can ship your items to the attention of on of your staff attending the event and staying at the hotel. You may incur handling fees from the hotel.
