Kathy Chow has 20 years experience in brand management, business development, marketing, and nonprofit management. For the last eight years, she has served as the Executive Director of the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA), a global nonprofit membership organization with more than 1,600 professional journalists. During her tenure at AAJA, she helped secure the largest foundation grants in the organization’s history and developed key strategic partnerships. Kathy has also served on the advisory council for the National Corporate Volunteer Council and the National Hands On Schools Council for Hands On Network & Points of Light Institute.

Glen Fernandez is the Membership Services Manager for AACS and has responsibility for communications and the development of programs designed to increase and retain membership in the association. He has a diverse background in event planning, project management, marketing, and tourism. He also holds an Arizona Cosmetology License and still works behind the chair, specializing in men’s styling. After graduating from Arizona State University, Glen moved to New York City where he worked with Bumble and bumble, coordinating advanced education programs in their University and managing their team backstage at New York Fashion Week. Now that he’s back in the Valley of the Sun, Glen enjoys exploring the American Southwest, catching live music, and spending as much time as possible outside with his partner and their two dogs.

Keira Orrala is the bookkeeper for AACS. She is responsible for keeping the association’s books up to date and accurate. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Phoenix and has a diverse background including experience in the non-profit sector. She traded the beach for the desert by moving from northern California to Scottsdale, AZ where she has lived for 8 years with her husband and beautiful little boy. When the weather is cool she enjoys gardening and taking long walks with her family and their mini schnauzer, Jackson.

Gina Rossi is the Administrative Assistant for AACS. Her role ensures the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office. She is an alumni of Arizona State University, where she holds a Bachelor’s degree in English – Creative Writing. Her background revolves around customer service and hospitality. Gina is originally from Chicago, IL and first moved to Arizona to attend college. Since graduating, she left Arizona to travel around the states and has lived in Vail, CO and San Diego, CA. She’s happy to be back in the desert and closer to some of her family. Gina enjoys cooking, attending live music events, travel, hiking and learning about wine to pass the Introductory Sommelier exam.
